New hotel in Malmö

We are searching for an operator to lease the premises of a new hotel that is planned to be built in the historical block S:t Gertrud in central Malmö. The property owner Skånska Dagbladet has run its business in the block since the late 19th century but is now looking forward to transforming the property into a hotel.

The block S:t Gertrud is located in the heart of Malmö only a five-minute walk from Malmö Central Station, close to many of the city’s main attractions and businesses. With excellent transportation links through the central station, European highways E6/E20, and two international airports the hotel will be easily accessible from all around the world.

The hotel will be housed in carefully renovated existing buildings as well as a new extension facing the canal. As a result, the hotel will have a mix of charming old architectural details and modern design which will give the hotel its own identity and distinctive character.

The proposed concept comprises 169 guest rooms spread over five floors in both the current buildings and the extension. The entrance floor will have an all-day-dining restaurant and bar with a separate entrance from the street, creating a buzzing atmosphere throughout the day. The floor will also have two meeting rooms and a generous lobby/lounge. One of the hotel’s many fine features is the top floor, which will offer a gym and sauna. From here guests can enjoy a spectacular view over the city.
