We now start the recruitment of an operator of Hotel Draken in the Folkets Hus block at Järntorget in Gothenburg. Folkets Hus Gothenburg’s project company Hotell Draken AB owns the property and has appointed Annordia as an exclusive adviser in the recruitment of an operator.

The vicinity of Järntorget will undergo extensive development in the coming years. At Masthuggskajen, 1,000 new homes and 3,000 workplaces will create a dense and vibrant city-center that replaces today’s huge unused areas along Göta River. Just 400 meters from the hotel, Haga station will open when the west link is completed in 2026. Järntorget, which is one of Gothenburg’s most important hubs, will then have an even more important role in the city.

The property owner, together with Annordia and Erséus Arkitekter, has developed a concept proposal comprising 334 guest rooms, 20 meeting rooms, two restaurants, two bars and a bistro. One of the hotel’s meeting rooms is the beautiful Draken cinema, which has 708 seats and it is also the main cinema at Gothenburg Film Festival. According to the proposal, Hotel Drakens guest rooms will be housed in a new 27-storey house which will constitute a new landmark in the city. On floors 26 and 27 there is a proposed restaurant and a sliding bar with stunning views of Gothenburg and Göta river. The total area of ​​the hotel amounts to approximately 23,100 square meters.
