Trade, Hotels and Real Estate 2018

The hotel market is at fast pace with many hotel investments, several new establishments and exciting future plans. At Fastighetsvärlden’s seminar Trade, Hotels and Real Estate 2018, Annordia’s CEO Hans Åke Petersson and Carolinne Bjerking stated the prerequisites of Sweden’s large cities, focusing on Western Sweden.

Gothenburg is expecting an additional 2,400 new hotel rooms will be added up to 2022. Among the new establishments are for example ESS Hotel by Gårda and Lisebergs Hotel. Annordia has conducted studies for both hotels.

Last year, the occupancy rate in Gothenburg was 71 percent and RevPAR was noted at 764 SEK. Annordia forecast even higher ratios during the upcoming years. 2021, the year of Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary, Annordia expects an occupancy rate at 78 percent and a RevPAR at 932 SEK.

According to Annordia’s prognosis, there is still demand for additional hotels in Gothenburg, preferrably in the city center but also in Masthugget and in Lindholmen.
