ADR and total room revenue increased by 3.3 percent and 8.5 percent respectively, while the number of rooms sold rose by 5.0 percent. The occupancy rate increased by 1.1 percentage points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hotel companies\u2019 expectations for demand over the coming 6 months and for room rates over the coming 3 months strengthened significantly during the fourth quarter. The demand expectations reached their highest level since the fourth quarter of 2021. However, profitability remains a challenge for hotel companies during the fourth quarter. A similar development is observed among the companies in the service sector with increased optimism regarding future demand while profitability remains a challenge.
