Developments in the hotel market in January were strongly affected by the rapid spread of the new virus variant Omicron, which led to a halt in the ongoing recovery. As of February 9, however, most restrictions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic were lifted and demand for hotel rooms has since then begun to pick up again. However, uncertainty about future developments has increased with the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
