The hotel market statistics for the first quarter in Sweden show strong key figures. Compared to the corresponding quarter in 2022, the number of occupied rooms increased by 31 percent, the occupancy rate by 26 percent, the ARR by 13 percent, and the RevPAR by 43 percent. However, it should be noted that these key figures are partially influenced by Covid-19 restrictions and high inflation.

Because of the Covid-19 restrictions, which still were in place during the first two months of 2022, it has been difficult to compare the statistics to and February 2023. Therefore, the March statistics are more comparable and easier to assess.

The Swedish hotel market continued to show strong key figures during the fourth quarter of 2022. For instance, the average ADR (Average daily rate) increased by approximately 13 percent from the fourth quarter of 2021 to the fourth quarter of 2022.
