Annordia has compiled a hotel report on the supply and demand of commercial housing in Stockholm, commissioned by Invest Stockholm, the city’s official agency for investment promotion.
The hotel report includes a survey of existing and planned hotels as well as a forecast of the demand for commercial accommodation in Stockholm county and Stockholm City during the period 2016-2020.
Between 2016 and 2020 there are secure hotel projects that involve more than 3,000 new rooms in the city of Stockholm (including the rooms that have been added so far this year). In addition, there are plans for another 2,000 new rooms in the municipality. Some of them are expected to be realized and open by 2020. In order to satisfy the forecasted growth of demand, approximately 1,500 hotel rooms need to be added to the City of Stockholm during the forecast period.
