Now we are looking for an operator for the new Hotel Engelholm. Backahill owns the property Strutsen 18 in central Ängelholm, which is the location of new hotel. Annordia has been hired as an exclusive advisor in the recruitment of an operator.

Hotell Engelholm is within walking distance of both Storgatan and Ängelholm’s central station. The existing building that previously held the Best Western Hotel Paletten will undergo a complete renovation. In addition, a series of additions will mean that the building’s area will almost double to nearly 5,200 square meters, spread over five floors.

A concept has been prepared by Backahill, supported by Griab and Annordia. Hotell Engelholm, according to the proposal, will cover a total of 112 guest rooms. On the ground floor there is a restaurant and bar which together amount to more than 300 square meters excluding kitchen and other areas.

The entrance plan is also proposed to include three meeting rooms, the largest of which has a maximum capacity of 230 people in a cinema seating. Backahill’s ambition is that Hotel Engelholm will be a modern city hotel, thus filling a gap on Ängelholm’s hotel market.
