Operator wanted for a hotel in Gothenburg

We are looking for a hotel operator for the Navigation School at Kvarnberget in central Gothenburg – one of the city’s landmarks for over 150 years. All the conditions are present for creating the west coast’s new destination hotel with about 150 rooms.

On Kvarnberget, in the middle of Gothenburg, Navigationsskolan is located – a building that has been one of the city’s landmarks for over 150 years. The school tells the story of Gothenburg; a city built around port, shipping and trade. At the Navigation School, both seafarers and sea engineers and navigators have been trained. The building was built in 1862 and is distinguished by its bell tower and the breathtaking view of Göta river and Gothenburg.

When the current tenant ÅF moves out 2014, there is an opportunity to create a destination hotel with about 150 rooms, restaurant, conference and spa. Both restaurant and spa connect to separate terraces located at the top of the building. The total area of the hotel is 6,442 sqm (LOA).

Property owners are SEFA – a young and fast growing construction company with its base in western Sweden.
