Kvarteret Blästern

Annordia were appointed advisors on behalf of Kungsleden in the recruitment process for a new hotel in the Blästern quarter of central Stockholm. Kungsleden signed a 20-year lease with Nobis for the operations of the new hotel at Gävlegatan. The new hotel will comprise of 9 500 square meters with 242 rooms, conference facilities and generous room for lounge restaurant and bar. The hotel will occupy two adjacent buildings. The main building has an industrial character and was raised as a warehouse for Philips in 1930. The building was originally drawn by the prominent architect Sigurd Lewerentz. The hotel is designed by Sweco Architects and its interior is functionally structured by Annordia.

The hotel will be reached from a courtyard open to the public. The courtyard will be a central meeting place for hotel guests as well as tourists and residents in Vasastaden and the emerging Hagastaden district. New stations on the subway’s yellow line and Citybanan will be built within 300 meters of the property. The hotel is expected to be completed in autumn 2018.
