Grythyttan

Annordia were appointed sales and acquisitions advisor when both venture and property at Grythyttans Gästgivaregårds were out for sale.

The historical facility, which accommodates both hotel and conference facilities in Bergslagen just outside of Örebro, found its new owner in the Spendrups family. Operations were taken over 1st of May 2014. Spendrups are hoping to find synergies with Loka Brunn, an historic watering place about 10 kilometers away, which already is under the family’s ownership.

Grythyttan Gästgivaregård was founded in 1640 by order of Swedish Queen Kristina and today comprises of four properties and 22 buildings with a total usable floor area of about 4 200 square meters. After being run by prominent restaurateur Carl Jan Granqvist for 25 years, the Ljungberg family ran operations for 15 years before the property owner Tagehus contacted Annordia with the ambition to find a new owner.
