During the third quarter of 2022, demand for hotel rooms in Sweden remained strong. The number of sold rooms has increased by 5 percent and the average room rate by 16 percent compared with the corresponding period in 2019. Despite the good growth, hotel companies have become increasingly pessimistic about the future. Among other things, 5 out of 10 hotel companies indicated that they expect a decrease in demand for their services in the next six months, and only 1 out of 4 hotel companies expect increased prices for hotel services in three months’ time.
